New Release: Hey Elbow – Every Other

Watch this: Friska Viljor

The Swedish duo Daniel Johansson and Joakim Sveningsson aka ‘Friska Viljor’ are back with the new single ‘In my sofa I’m safe’. The single was released on March 6th and totally lived up to my expectations. The duo is currently working on their sixth album and have been very generous to share some videos from the working progress of it. Watch them below.

New Release: Tallest Man on Earth – Dark Bird is Home

The Swedish 32-year-old songwriter Kristian Mattson, more known as ‘the Tallest Man on Earth‘ is soon about to release his third studio album ‘Dark Bird is Home’.  According to the record label Dead Oceans, the album presents Mattson on a darker and more direct level, but the album also possesses playful and whimsy elements.

The album will be released on May 12th. Until then, have a listen to the single ‘Sagres’ from the upcoming album.

New Release: Houndmouth – ‘Little Neon Limelight’

Houndmouth is an alternative country band from New Albany, Indiana. The band was formed in the summer of 2011 and they have one released album. Their music have been compared to both Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Band of Horses.

Recently they released the single ‘Sedona’ from their upcoming album ‘Little Neon Limelight’. The album will be out on rough Trade on March 17th.

I’ve been wanting publish these photos for a while now. Friday February 13th brought nothing but good luck to me, I had namely the privilege to watch Whales perform at Grand, in Malmö, Sweden. I’ve summarised the show in some photos. Only photos though, but hopefully you can still imagine the great feeling they brought to the audience .

Watch this: Jonathan Johansson – Alla Helveten

The Swedish musician Jonathan Johansson is to release his new album ‘Lebensraum’ 18th of March. Jonathan recently released a video ‘Alla Helveten’  containing all the lyrics printed on screen. Jonathan once told that a lot of people are complaining because they can’t hear what he is singing. Therefore he decided to display the lyrics on the screen. When Jonathan and his friends were making the video, they came to realise that with the lyrics being shown on screen, the video became even more powerful.
